(5).  Flathead Screwdriver (6).  Zip Ties

(7).  Scisors

(click on pictures for larger versions)

(1).  Get all your tools together.  This should include a flathead screwdriver, zip tie, scissors, and your CAGS defeat.
(2).  Go get your jack, jack stands, lift pads, and 2 x 4 piece of wood.  Lift the back of your car in the middle in accordance to your owners manual.  I used a piece of wood as a bridge to span across the crossmember.  Place the jack stands underneath the rear crossmember (in the picture it only shows one jack stand; the other was added after the picture was taken).  Be sure to use lift pads or their equivalent before carefully lowering the Vette onto them.
(3).  We must now located the CAGS solenoid.  Grab your flathead screwdriver, zip tie, scissors, and CAGS Defeat and scoot on under your car.  The solenoid is located on the drivers' side of the transmission towards the top and rear.  You will know you have found it when you spot a blue/white wiring harness connector.  Use your flathead screwdriver to gently pry the clip up that is holding the solenoid on, then pull it out of its connector.
(4).  Grab your CAGS defeat, and pull the assembly apart (there should be two pieces).  Plug the blue/white end into the socket where you have just pulled the CAGS solenoid out from.  Plug the long black part into the CAGS solenoid you have just pulled out.
(5).  Now with both parts plugged in, all we need to do is zip tie the loose solenoid in place.  I used a hold on the transmission case (as shown in the picture).  Cut the excess zip tie off, and with that, you are done!  Take the car down from the jack stands, wipe your hands off, and get ready to enjoy leisurely shifting without worrying about being forced into that damn fourth gear!
