(1).
Obtain all of the materials that you need for this simple project.
In this picture, notice how the longer cut is at the bottom inside of the
screens. |

|
(2).
Before we get the screens, we need to gain access to the front brake air
ducts. In order to do this, we need to raise the headlights.
If you do not want the headlights on the entire time, do this little
trick; first turn the headlights on (you need to click forward two spaces,
the first is for running lights). Then, only click back ONE, and
your headlights will remain up, but off (and your running lights will now
be on). After that is done, we need to remove the plastic housing
around the lights by removing the three screws (see the two pictures to
see the location of them). |

(3).
This is
what should come off. |
 |
(4).
With the shroud off, we can now gain access to the front brake air ducts.
Sorry for the awkwardness of this next picture. This is a shot of
the duct...the top of the picture is the front of the car.
Don't mind the
wire; it is for my Police Strobes.
[Note] It is sort of awkward maneuvering your arm in this tight area.
Just take your time. I found that it is easiest to gain access to
the duct by sticking your arm through the very front part of the opening
(after the shroud has been taken off of the headlight). |
 |
|
(5).
Now, push in the air duct and move it down half way. |
 |
(6).
Next, insert the screen from the top through the headlight opening, and
with a small screwdriver or needle nose pliers, adjust it into place.
[Note] This seriously was annoying. It took me about fifteen minutes
to get the first screen wedged into the duct, but once I knew what to do
the second one went in within two minutes. Again, take your time; I
put my first small scratch on the car today because the screen popped out
of place and instead of re-doing the thing I tried to push it back into
place which turned out not to be a very bright idea. |
 |
|
(7).
And that is it! I personally think that these screens should have
come stock with the Z06. Anyway, they look good, and complete
the front of the car. |
